About the course

Southerness is a championship links course designed by MacKenzie Ross and built in 1947 on the Solway coast near Dumfries. The course offers a unique test on level terrain with excellent year-round drainage, and stands as one of the last designs by the celebrated Golden Age architect in Scotland.
