James Braid designed this parkland course in the 1930s to restore Musselburgh's golfing reputation, and his strategic bunkering and wide fairways have endured largely unchanged. Set among 5,000 mature trees with views south to the Pentland Hills, it stretches almost 7,000 yards and has hosted multiple Open Championship qualifiers, offering both challenge for accomplished golfers and an enjoyable experience for newcomers.
