About the course

Founded in 1875 on the Elie Links in Fife's East Neuk, Earlsferry Thistle is a links course shaped by Old Tom Morris's influence and celebrated as one of Scotland's finest winter layouts, its design refined by 1896 to the eighteen holes played today. The club's compact membership belies its outsized place in golf history: it was home to multiple Open Champions including James Braid and Jack Simpson, and has hosted national championships whilst earning a ranking of 85th among Britain and Ireland's greatest courses.
