About the course

Machrihanish is a historic links course on the Kintyre peninsula, designed by Old Tom Morris in 1879 and set in natural dunes overlooking Machrihanish Bay. The championship layout, stretching to par 70, remains largely unaltered from its original form and is celebrated for its dramatic opening hole over the beach and a sequence of challenging holes through duneland that demands precision off the tee.
