Founded in 1895 and redesigned by James Braid in 1936, Shotts is a moorland course standing 800 feet above sea level between Glasgow and Edinburgh, offering sweeping views across Lanarkshire and Ayrshire. The 18-hole layout is known for its challenging design, including the famous 4th hole 'The Devils Elbow', and the club maintains a reputation for hospitality and has hosted significant amateur championships.

Setting. Moorland course, approximately 800 feet above sea level, with views towards Tinto in Lanarkshire and Louden Hill in Ayrshire. Located 18 miles east of Glasgow.
