About the course

Greenock Golf Club sits high above the town in a commanding moorland setting, offering two James Braid-designed courses that serve up panoramic views across the Clyde Estuary towards the Argyll hills and beyond. Founded in 1890 and redesigned by the former Open Champion in 1924, the 27 holes present a varied and testing challenge, from the tight fairways and small greens of the 18-hole course to the punishing brevity of the 9-hole layout's infamous gully hole.
