About the course

Forfar is the world's first 18-hole course by design, laid out by Old Tom Morris in 1871 across a unique medieval landscape of rig and furrow. Set on land farmed by monks as far back as the 12th century, its gravity-defying undulations and strategic brilliance remain largely intact, with many of Morris' greens still in play, making it one of golf's most authentically preserved Victorian courses.
