Carnoustie Championship course is an 18-hole links layout playing to 6,945 yards and par 72 from the back tees. The course is renowned for its demanding final nine holes and historic Open Championship pedigree, with memorable moments etched into its signature holes, including Gary Player's eagle on the fearsome Spectacles hole and the intimidating Barry Burn that winds through the closing stretch.

- Paul Lawrie, 1999 Open champion, renamed hole 6 Hogan's Alley in 2003
